This newsletter covers stories on how UNDP in Helmand province has contributed to opening a legal aid facility in Lashkar Gah to help prisoners and those accused of crimes, facilitated access of farmers and other people in a few villages of Garam Sair district to markets and basic services, and provided drinkable water for a Kuchi community in Bost district from wells equipped with water pumps. UNDP has recently opened an office in Lashkar Gah, which hosts a number of UNDP programmes as well as missions from other UN agencies.
