Strengthening National Policy Planning and Management Capacity (SNPPMC) is a follow up of National State Governance Project (NSGP) with a distinct focus on improving policy planning and decision making mechanism at the central government level. The Project was commenced on 1st July 2014 and has a duration until December 2016.

The project’s main focus is to support institution building at the Centre of Government. It mainly focuses on strengthening the current system for policy making, management and execution through the Administrative Office of the President (AOP) as the entity responsible for coordinating government business processes.

During the first quarter of 2015 the project worked on finalizing the recruitment of an international Technical Specialist/ Project Manager, continuing to support on-going activities with the various counterparts including the 1st, 2nd Vice President’s Offices, and the Office of the Special Representative of the President for Reform and Good Governance.

It is noteworthy to mention that the newly formed National Unity Government has pledged a comprehensive program “Realizing Self-Reliance, a Commitment to Reforms and Renewed Partnerships”. The program focuses on peace and stability, growth, governance and institutional reforms.
