A few weeks ago, world leaders adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), setting a bold new development agenda for the next 15 years. At the heart of this agenda is a commitment “to eradicate poverty everywhere, in all its forms and dimensions, by 2030”. With this goal, humanity’s long-held aspiration to end the scourge of poverty and hunger is within reach. We can be the first generation to succeed in eradicating poverty.

600 Indian Scholarships Boost Agricultural and Civil Service Reform

Agricultural research and development is expected to receive a major boost in Afghanistan with the formalization of an agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) and the Government of India that will allow Afghan students to avail of over 600 scholarships to Universities in India over the next five years. The scholarships will be granted for Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. programs in the fields of Agriculture, Civil Service and Forestry.
