As Afghanistan moves into the future against the backdrop of ongoing peace negotiations, it is confronted with many uncertainties but also faces several opportunities. UNDP is committed to supporting Afghanistan’s transition from a War Economy to a Peace Economy. This report summarizes the analytical work UNDP has conducted so far from which it derived several programme and project proposals that can be considered for weathering the effects of the pandemic in the short-run, creating conditions for inclusive economic growth, and supporting the achievement of the SDGs.
